Yo, when I first typed this H.G.I.M.'s name, I mistyped and spelled it "Tinnafey," which is basically G-d telling me to think about Tina Fey. Then I thought, "hmm, maybe I can make that into the 'wit' of this post. Maybe If there's something especially funny on her Myspace, I could compare the two. I could say something about how they have such similar names because they are both so, so funny."

But her Myspace profile is unfortunately kind of serious: a real attempt at e-honesty. So this sort of mash-up didn't quite work. But there is good news! Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You" played on her profile as Yes' (I have to idea how to properly make either of these artists possessive) "Heart of the Sunrise" played from my iTunes. AND THEY MATCH UP PERFECTLY, sort of. Maybe get drunk first. You have to start Screamin' Jay over four times and play Yes much, much louder. I think this new "mash-up" thing might catch on.

I was reading some article somewhere that talked about how despite advances in quality of every format of everything (photography, video, music, etc.), people are more and more content with shittier formats. Ringtones are hot sellers. So are 128 kbps songs that end up getting played though stock iPod headphones. Disposable cameras outsell digital cameras. People are streaming whole movies on Youtube. We have unlimited access to free or cheaper than ever before formats that are higher quality than anything that have existed before. Why not use them?

On a contrary note, this girl has a Nikon D50 and I use disposable cameras exclusively.

I'll start this off with an apology for my neglect. A good journalist should pay attention to what's been going in the world, and I haven't. I'm sorry. This post is a sort of crossover between this and my other blog, um...killa, a blog (mostly) about Seattle hardcore bands that broke up in the 1990's. I recently rediscovered my love of judging and typing, so hopefully there will be more posts.

This is probably (well, definitely, at least based on what I've heard) the worst Locust side project ever. But lets ignore that, the video part of a music video is what's important. What makes it important is girls. Hipster girls. In mustaches.
